On Designing the Life you Want
This site Pixel Story Studio is proof that my dream came true. I accomplished my goal of founding a company, giving it a name and feel, and now have a playground for my ideas to meet your needs.
Yet it is more than that. It is a proof of planning, and follow through as well. There is not much genius behind it, yet rather sweat and step by step execution. I filled note books, I completed google tasks, I scheduled time to sit down and make progress. I also emailed friends and colleagues for feedback, asked for permission and set up the legal structure. Then it was a nose dive into pushing it out so that it can stand corrected. I have open ears for feedback, and this enterprise is centered enough in a considerate plan so that I can take your critique to build this even stronger.
Now this September, Hopscotch Lab founder Kris Angell and I will be offering a series of five evening workshops titled “Design your Life”. Starting with a general two hour event to learn with lab participants where they are standing, how they got their, and how design thinking/doing can propel them forward to accomplish their dearest dreams, we will continue with four workshops targeting more specific areas of your life. It is an exciting venture, and falls into a series of educating labs offered by Hopscotch Lab labs. And it is another proof of planning and follow through (and maybe a bit more genius).
I think I am here to improve things in my life and for others. Personally, I’ve always enjoyed pushing the envelope with an ambition to attain good school great, perform well at work and create new things. I’ve worked as a researcher digging into meaning of brain waves, gestures, and academia, continued as a therapist to explore where talk (and experiential) therapy can aid individuals that hurt, and crafted things — beautiful and not so beautiful. I’ve learned to tell my story, and cherish the dead ends, and detours on my journey because they brought me closer to a unique road with carefully selected equipment. I joined Kris to share about my lifetime of experience in this mission, and my decade of professional experience in gathering useful techniques to make this happen for individuals and smaller systems.
Do you have a vision of what you want your life in general to look like? How far are you off? Do you have dreams for your social life or relational life yet you are too far off the mark? In our workshop, we will explore exactly your playing field, and dish out concepts, cognitive techniques and experiential tasks to get you a closer to your vision. Maybe your pinterest shows what you want it to be or your internet memes express your dilemma. This workshop is a safe environment to dive with a team of like-minded individuals into the most exciting, and terrifying quest of owning your life story.
